Empowering Care with Confidence

Your health is our priority. At MOC Social Club, we believe honest conversations and access to resources make for a safer, more supportive community. Whether you're a member or a guest, we want you to feel empowered, respected, and informed.

Prevention, Testing, & Treatment

We want everyone in our space to have the tools they need to make smart choices. That’s why we offer free condoms and lubricant at our events (while supplies last). We encourage you to use them—your well-being and the well-being of others matter.

How to Take Charge of Your Health

  • Schedule regular check-ups: Make time for routine visits with your primary care provider.
  • Get tested: Regular STD/STI screenings help protect you and your partners. Many clinics offer quick, confidential testing.
  • Ask about prevention: Curious about PrEP, DoxyPEP, or other ways to reduce your risk? Talk to your healthcare provider about what’s right for you.

What Are PrEP and DoxyPEP?

  • PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is available as a daily pill (like Truvada or Descovy) or as a long-acting injection (Apretude). Both can drastically lower your risk of getting HIV. When taken consistently, PrEP is highly effective—think of it as another layer of protection, especially if condoms aren’t always in the picture. PrEP is for anyone who wants extra peace of mind when it comes to HIV prevention. Most health providers, local clinics, and LGBTQ+ health organizations can help you get started.
  • DoxyPEP (Doxycycline Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a newer option—it's a single dose of the antibiotic doxycycline taken after condomless sex, within 72 hours. Research shows that DoxyPEP can lower the risk of getting certain STIs like chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. DoxyPEP isn’t for everyone, and it’s not a substitute for regular testing or using condoms, but it can be a helpful tool for people at higher risk.
  • Is PrEP or DoxyPEP right for you? The best way to find out is to talk openly with your healthcare provider. They can help you weigh your options, answer your questions, and connect you with resources.

Why We Talk About This

Sexual health is everyone’s business—there’s no shame in looking after yourself. Being proactive protects you, your partners, and our community. The more we talk about it, the safer we all are.
